| About John Van Auken I am a Director at the Edgar Cayce organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach, Virginia U.S.A. I've been associated with this organization since the late 1960s. I write three monthly newsletters, "Ancient Mysteries," "Personal Spirituality," and "Living in the Light," and am the author of more than a dozen books. My expertise is in mysticism, particularly Egyptian and Christian mysticism, and teaching meditation - from kundalini to my unique "passage in consciousness" technique. I practice the techniques I teach and have become a leader of retreats, workshops, and tours. My topics include spirituality, reincarnation, ancient mystical concepts and practices, rejuvenation of the body, dream work, meditation, prophecy, mysticism, and Edgar Cayce concepts. I've appeared on several television and radio programs, including the FOX show "Opening the Tomb Live from Egypt," Modern Marvels’ "The Pyramids," Religion Today, The Art Bell Show, Spiritual Alternatives, the Discovery Channel's "Searching for Atlantis" and the History Channel's "Digging for the Truth."
